Hosts nitrogen-fixing bacteria, a good fertilizer for some plants, too much for others

It Helps: In general they are good company for carrots, celery, chards, corn, eggplant, peas, potatoes, brassicas, beets, radish, strawberry and cucumbers. Spinach, lettuce, rosemary, summer savory, dill.

It Is Helped by: Eggplant, Summer savory. (A fresh bay leaf in each storage container of beans will deter weevils and moths.)

Action: Repels / Distracts California beetles

Avoid Growing with: Tomatoes, chili peppers, sunflowers, alliums (onions, garlic, etc), kales (cabbage, broccoli, etc )
