Back To School - September and the First Class Visit

Miss Dueck and Miss Douglas bring their new classes for their first visit to the garden. Wow! look at how big the Jerusalem Artichoke have grown. And in the beginning of December the community gardener got together to harvest them

... 60 pounds of Chokes! that was a lot of them. The teachers agreed to donate some to the Stop Community Food Centre, and some to the Bike Pirates, as well as take some back to the class to get cooked up. As well, they have donated some to the community garden to have them for the Seedy Sunday event.
