We had a great meeting - in attendance were the City Councillor Ana Bailão, her assistant Nicholas Gallant. From Parks, Forestry and Recreation (PF&R) were John Abela, Danny Vala & Bernard Oeltjen. From the community garden were Edward, Andrea and myself, as well as our volunteer Daisuke, and our neighbours Lee-Anne & Samuel.

We discussed the practical side of the use of Solar Panes. John said that the solar panels in other areas of the city - in community centres - they suffer a lot of vandalism. We also talked about the condition of the current shed. Back in 2009 when we first made a request for this project, the shed was in better condition, it now has a big hole in the side of the shed where the door has banged into and knocked a piece out, as well, the wooden floor is no longer in good condition.

So, here is the new plan:

PF&R will build a 16' x 16' cement pad, and on that pad they will make a 10' x 7' shed.

As well, they will provide us with electricity so that we can have a light on the inside of the shed as well as one on the outside. Wit this electricity we will also be able to have a water feature so that the pollinators

Our responsibility will be to put shelves on the inside, as well as paint it.
