From a nearly empty garden plot, a few trays of seedlings, and pile of rocks & bricks - 9 young people came and transformed this garden plot and the walking path at the Perth Dupont Community Garden. As well, by transplanting the extra seedlings, they gave new life to these little plants, so that we can plant them in the ground later.

These fine young people are from Rotman Commerce Beyond Business - part of the university of Toronto. This was an opportunity for them to have a meaningful experience gardening. It also helped them greatly with team bonding and understanding what community garden and gardening is about!

Whenever we get the privilege of having volunteers, we make sure that it is a learning experience for them, not just "menial labour". And for us, we are delighted to see young people interested in all the facets of gardening.

... and in the end, they have thanked us too! ...
